Sourdough english muffins

These English muffins are so good and packed with the digestive benefits of sourdough fermentation! I like to top them with eggs and chilli oil and plenty of other AMAZING items. It’s easiest to open them by pressing a fork around the edge until it fully pops open!

My homemade chilli oil is super easy too and I really love it compared to grocery store options that are loaded with soy and garbage inflammatory oils.

CHILLI OIL:

Gather aromatics, I like to use, star anise, cinnamon sticks, bay leaves, peppercorns, dried ginger, cloves, & garlic. Heat 1.5 cups avocado oil on low with all the aromatics until small bubbles form. Infuse for about 30min-1 hour.

Add 3/4 cups of chilli flakes of choice to a glass mason jar. Strain the infused oil on top of the chilli flakes. Wait until it’s cool. Shake the mason jar and store with lid on!
